This week was incredibly productive for me. I did spend a lot of time on my original work, but I also took some big steps towards my future. I applied to my tenth college, meaning I only have a couple more to go. Additionally. I completed my prescreens. This was a huge weight on my shoulders for the last few weeks, and quite frankly, It was all I could really think about. Precreens are practically a person's audition into the theatre program of their college choices. I have been endlessly rehearsing and reworking my pieces until they met my standards, and it was honestly very draining. It seemed to be the only thing that could consume my mind. Everything else had to take a backseat until these prescreens were done. When I actually did them, they went surprisingly well. I was so relieved after all of the work I put into them paid off. I know full well that doing good on them will not automatically grant me acceptance into the programs, but I found a sense of accomplishment within myself for working so hard and succeeding. In a few days, I will get back these prescreens and send them off to my schools. While this is terrifying, it is also very exciting as I am taking steps towards my future.
